The Sneaker Soiree is the signature fundraising event of Girls on the Run of Central Iowa and raises funds to support our financial assistance fund which over 38% of participants utilize throughout the year.  Financial assistance is a priority for our organization as it increases access to our programs across central Iowa making it possible for ANY child to join in our programs!

The Sneaker Soiree features an exciting silent auction with customized sneakers from local artists. The night will kick-off with a cocktail hour, music from local artists, and assorted appetizers + sweet treats followed by the inagural GOTR Awards Ceremony and an inspirational program. As we near the finish line (end of event), we’ll wrap up the silent auction and call to action.

Bold Heart Award - Community Impact Award

Award Description: The Bold Heart Award recognizes a business, school, or community partner that significantly advances access, opportunity, and inclusion for Girls on the Run of Central Iowa. This may include scholarship support, volunteerism, advocacy, or helping expand programming to new communities.

Finish Line Champion Award -Volunteer & Leadership Recognition Award

Award Description: The Finish Line Champion Award honors an individual who ensures girls cross the finish line — literally or figuratively. This award recognizes behind-the-scenes excellence, encouragement, leadership, and unwavering support.

Golden Laces Award - Coach Longevity Award

Award Description: The Golden Laces Award honors a dedicated coach who has demonstrated long-standing commitment and continued service to Girls on the Run over multiple seasons.

Heart and Sole Award - Volunteer Impact Award

Award Description: The Heart & Sole Award recognizes a volunteer coach who goes above and beyond with compassion, dedication, and care for Girls on the Run participants and their community.

The Sparkle Award - GOTR Team Recognition Award

Award Description: The Sparkle Award recognizes a Girls on the Run team that demonstrates growth in confidence, leadership, kindness, and teamwork. This award celebrates progress and positive impact rather than perfection.
